Things are gearing up for 2008 with the Puget Sound Coaches Association!

The board members met recently to discuss plans for the year ahead and we are excited to share the many opportunities for all members to get involved this year!

Mark your calendars today!

Please check our events page for the program meeting schedule. If you haven't already signed up for this months' meeting, please do so right away!

Let us first introduce to you our Board:

Janet Harvey - President
Tammy Redmon - Secretary
Jeanette Monahan - Treasurer

Kimm Viebrock - Past President
Karen Steckler - Director
Theresa Callahan - Director
Jane Faulkner -  Director                                                                                     Anya Jepsen - Director

In addition, we have a Executive Marketing Administrative Assistant, Carrie Laster, who comes to us with an in-depth knowledge of marketing and sales, as well as computer and bookkeeping experience. She is usually at our meetings so please take a minute to introduce yourself to Carrie.

Our goals for this year are to:

  • Enhance public awareness and confidence in the coaching profession
  • Increase visibility of Puget Sound coaches
  • Increase the knowledge, skills and professionalism of PSCA member coaches
  • Encourage and enable greater PSCA membership participation and
  • Promote the business of coaching and the common business interests of PSCA members.

To ensure that we accomplish these goals, we are looking for new talent to join our board.

Do you have a passion to impact change in our professional organization? Would you like to get more involved in our local Association and be a part of the business planning for PSCA? If you answered yes to either of these questions then WE WANT YOU.

To get involved, send a note of intention or nominate someone you think would be a great addition to our Board. Feel free to inquire about the opportunities – we would love to hear from you! Send an email to volunteers@pugetsoundcoaches.org.

We intend to grow our membership and increase participation for the 2007-2008 year! Our goal as an Association is to have each PSCA Member attend at least (one meeting per quarter.) Be a resource for coaching excellence and part of a community that knits together the power of coaching in Puget Sound.

In order for our association to operate at its full potential, more support is needed from current members. We invite you to help us take our PSCA to new heights this year! Starting in the fall, we have opportunities for the following:

Call for Curriculum

Get involved by either presenting your niche as a coach or by recommending a speaker for one of our program monthly meetings. Share your talent with local coaches and take this opportunity to impact the community through learning.

You may even partner with another coach to present a new coaching tool or success story. To learn more about presenting, or to submit an application, visit us on-line at http://www.pugetsoundcoaches.org. We have spots open for the 2008 PSCA curriculum year; we do expect them to fill up fast so apply today!

Call for Evaluators

Be a part of the planning committee, which evaluates the funding applications for programs and projects. This is a critical component into offering quality programming to our local Chapter. Do you have a heart for learning and teaching? This is a minimal investment of time which produces significant results. Send your name in today at programs@pugetsoundcoaches.org.

Membership Committee

PSCA is working on a Membership Kit for all new and existing members. Our intention is to bring our members closer together and to engage them in the full benefits of what membership offers. Be a part of this process by bringing your skills to our Association and influencing this dynamic committee. Please contact Theresa Callahan at theresa.callahan@pugetsoundcoaches.org or Tammy Redmon at secretary@pugetsoundcoaches.org to join us today!

Coaching 101 Program

Are you a Professional Coach interested in Coaching those new to our Industry? Do you enjoy mentoring and assisting others in building their business? Perhaps your business specializes in Coaching the Coach! If so, we need your Leadership! This is an area within our Association that has had a lot of interest and we need Co-Facilitators to oversee this initiative. Please contact Carrie Laster at pscava@pugetsoundcoaches.org

We hope to see you at our monthly meeting.
