Get Into Action· Heightened Credibility through CredentialingIn a recent conversation with students about to graduate from an ACTP accredited program we were discussing the process associated with generating confidence, professionalism and credibility as a coach in the marketplace. The consensus was that confidence is the starting place and that it comes from focus, practice and believing in oneself. The rigor of quality training that forwards a coach’s development towards achieving an ICF credential builds that confidence. From confidence comes the empowerment to show up in the world professionally and this is what generates a sense of credibility in the eyes of clients and prospects. What struck me about this conversation is the notion that credentialing has for many been an outside-in point of view. Questions such as, “why should I bother if I am having no trouble finding clients?” and, “No one ever asks me about my credentials, what’s the point of all that work?” are good questions. And, as we shift our perception to inside-out, the students helped me to see that the pursuit of a credential is very personal with the critical outcome of self-confidence and empowerment as coach. That seems to me the best benefit of all for pursuing an ICF credential through whatever means aligns with your vision as coach. What’s your self-confidence as coach worth to you in this stage of your career? We invite you to join us for an powerful discussion that will both de-mystify the application process and forward your action towards an ICF Credential. Please register now to reserve your spot. Getting the Most from the EveningCredentialing is one of those topics that can be provocative, fascinating, and even fun... or it can be dry as all get-out. A lot of what results depends on your own state of mind, so come prepared with an opinion or a question that gets you engaged in this important topic and help us co-create an evening of useful education. We also recommend that you look over the new language regarding the
core competency skill proficiency levels. When you do, you're likely to
come up with additional questions that we can discuss as a group. You
can find the skill proficiency information on the ICF website at the
